I have always been a big fan of bamboo blinds and shades. I think they are beautiful and add an aesthetic touch to your home décor. If you are already convinced that you want to go for bamboo shades then let’s get started. First of all you need to know the size of the blinds you need to get for your windows. Easy just measure your window but how do you do that?
Here I am going to talk about the inside mount blinds. First and foremost you need to have the right measuring tools, just a simple measuring tape, pencil and paper. Then stand on the inside of your window and check if there is anything that is protruding from the side of your window frame eg. alarm sensors etc, that will obstruct the movement of your blinds when installed.
The other important thing is that you need to ensure that you have sufficient depth to mount the blinds. Of course that varies for different products and that will be crucial when selecting the blinds.
For inside mount you need to measure the top of the window, the middle and the bottom. In the same way measure the height for the left, middle and right. Make sure you record all the measurement down on the paper and use the smallest measurement for the both width and height to order your blinds.
